At Smiles Hollywood Orthodontics, we want each patient to really enjoy coming to each of their appointments. You may be wondering How Do I Schedule my Next Appointment? Let’s back up on how to schedule your first appointment with our office. Your first appointment with our office is called an initial exam. It will take about forty-five minutes for your first appointment. You will meet with Dr. Crise and a treatment coordinator. Dr. Stephanie Crise will do a full exam on the patient while our treatment coordinator takes notes on the computer. Dr. Crise is looking at the patient’s profile and skeletal make up as well as the inside of their mouth and how their teeth fit together. She does several measurements of the patient’s teeth and other areas in the mouth. Then after the exam, she talks with the parents and the patient about her findings and what type of treatment they may need and if now is the time. Sometimes, depending on a patient’s growth, they may be put on a recall for 6 months or a year to make sure orthodontic treatment is started at the correct time. This is usually done when the patient needs time to grow more teeth in or for other reasons as well.
To book this initial exam, there are a variety of ways to book this first exam. First, you can call our office at 972-529-9700 and speak with one of our friendly front desk schedulers who will ask you a few informational questions as well as get your orthodontic insurance information, if you have any. Secondly, you can go to our website and book online. Thirdly, you can come to our office at 175 Ridge Road Suite #500 in McKinney, Texas to book your appointment personally. Finally, you can email us at smileshollywoodorthodontics@gmail.com and let us know you want to schedule your initial exam.
When asking yourself, How Do I schedule my next appointment, we make it very easy to get on our schedule. We have a SUPER exciting office and a very unique office. Children and adults all love coming to our office because it is not your typical dental office. The Smiles Hollywood Orthodontics office is Hollywood themed where the patient reception area looks like a real movie theater – and yes, we even have complimentary slushies and a cappuccino machine! We also have a play area for the younger siblings, an area where patients can study, a gaming area, as well as a movie theater area that always has a cool movie playing. We also have a contest each month for our patients to enter and win prizes! We make the office really fun so patients and parents will look forward to their next appointments.
A common question that patients and parents ask when saying How Do I schedule my next appointment, is they want to know how often their appointments will be. This is a fantastic question because we know that everyone has a busy schedule with their many after-school activities. We do offer extended hours to help parents. We are open Monday through Thursday 7:45 am -6:00 pm, and on Tuesdays we are open until 6:30 pm! As you can see, we have lots of convenient hours for you to book your appointments at the times you prefer! Appointments are typically only every six to eight weeks, so you don’t have to worry about missing much school, work, or extracurricular activities. Of course, if anything ever breaks or does not feel right, you will want to schedule an emergency appointment to come in right away to fix whatever the problem is. Another wonderful thing that our office offers is a golf cart pick-up service since we are right next door to Dowell Middle School. We offer golf cart services one day a week, where one of our awesome employees will drive the golf cart over to Dowell Middle School and check the patient out for their orthodontic appointment and then drive them back to Dowell and check them back into school. This can be done only after the parent fills out a release form giving our office permission to check your child out and back into school for their orthodontic appointment. This is just another service we offer to help parents get their children to their appointments.
Another big question that parents or adult patients have when asking How Do I schedule my next appointment, is they want to know if braces or clear active aligners are expensive. When you come for your initial exam, the treatment coordinator will go over all the pricing with you for the treatment that is recommended for you by the doctors. We are very reasonably priced, and we also offer a generous payout plan with free financing! All of this information will be given to you at your initial exam. There are no hidden fees. We will spell it all out for you on your first visit!
When people think of orthodontics, they think of braces. However, when asking yourself, How Do I schedule my next appointment, there are other treatments used in orthodontics besides braces. Orthodontics is broken down into two phases. Phase One is a skeletal phase. This phase is done on children between the ages of 7-11. Girls usually mature quicker than boys, so girls tend to have Phase One done at an earlier age than boys; However, not everyone will need Phase One orthodontic treatment. Phase One orthodontic treatment consists of different appliances like expanders, lower holding arches, headgears and functional appliances which all help to redirect growth of the growing patient. Depending on which skeletal treatment the patient is having in Phase One, orthodontic treatment can last 12-20 months (about 1 and a half years). Phase Two is full upper and lower braces and is strictly a dental phase. Most patients are in Phase Two for about 18-24 months (about 2 years).
